Yes, sometimes the mental healing is as hard as the physical >>

a friend of my nieces was hit from behind by a van last month while training on her bike for a triathalon - she too had multiple internal injuries, broken leg, fractured pelvis - she is now home and out of her wheel-chair. One of the most difficult things besides the physical recovery was 'behaving' and being still while trying to heal. It was hard for her not to be able to run, bike, swim and just go to the bathroom .. it did help with her family and friends being there massaging her battered muscles and listening to her frustrations .. hope that all continues to go well for her .. she is a remarkable lady !
