OK, my brakes were worn, so I ordered pad/rotors/etc. While waiting for them to get here they continued to wear. While replaceing them last night I noticed grease had been flung all over the inside my drivers-side front wheel, possibly from the CV boot.
Is it possible that the front brake could have over heated enough to heat the grease & make it expand (the backside pad on that wheel had just reached the metal on metal point)? The car has 56,000 miles, so if there were extra grease I think it would have come out by now. The boot seems intact.
The plan was to leave for VA this morning, but I need to know if driving to TT East on this would be a huge risk. :^/
Thanks!

I'm visiting a friend in Charlottesville, VA on the way, so I'll try to wash it then. ;^)

That was about when I was planning on leaving C'Ville anyway. I think it's about a 3 hour jaunt from there to Rocky Gap. & how would you like to arrange this? :^)

Not sure where we're staying yet. You can call me on the cell at (252)327-7737 Wed nite and we'll set up some times/meeting points.....:-)
Looks like about 60 miles/1hour north of where you'll be...
There's some good back roads in to Rocky Gap BTW!
