Default Price flexibility on Coupes?

We all have read the messages about dealers asking $10K over sticker for roadsters.

I'm interested in a quattro Coupe. Is there any price flexibility there? The first conversation with my favorite dealer said the best they could do was $500 off list. In the past, I have done more like $500 over invoice for an A4.

What sort of deal should I expect for a 180 Coupe quattro? I'm willing to wait for an order.

A second question: how long should I expect to wait for a custom order coupe?

Thanks,

Jim Dempsey

Default If you're getting anything *under* MSRP, you're doing GOOD.

I've heard no better than someone getting $500 under MSRP, plus a bunch of extra's from the dealer (cargo net, hats, etc). This doesn't include those folks who had the dealer botch up their order and get incorrect options (thus having more leverage in negotiating).

These cars are desirable, and dealers are not very likely to budge on price, even for Coupes. I got mine at MSRP, and I felt fortunate.

Default My experience...

I got my 225Q Coupe 3 weeks ago and paid exactly MSRP. I felt fortunate to pay only MSRP especially since I didn't have to wait for the car. Mine was ordered by another buyer 5 months earlier who backed out before it arrived. Considering it had all of the packages/color/interior that I would have been willing to wait 4-6 months for, I was thrilled to drive away at MSRP.

I've seen some posts on 2000 models going for under MSRP and even a few in the S.F. area are getting 2001s under MSRP but that's not the norm -- at least in the Philly area.

Good Luck

Default $500 under MSRP is pretty good

It's what I was able to get on my 180QC, and I counted myself lucky to get it. Every other dealer was giving me straight MSRP. Bottom line is that it's a hot car and demand outstrips supply.

$500 off list is great; still waiting lists and MSRP in Colorado...
