Default problem with 3.2 bumper installed on my 225

Hi,

I just had the 3.2 bumper installed on my 225. I am 100% stock. The bodyshop claims that they had problems fitting the bumper because the driver side intercooler was in the way. From a visual inspection, it doesnt look bad, but the underside is 'bowing' towards the middle of the bumper. From street level, you can't see it, but I'm worried about snagging the bottom of the bumper and breaking it.

Has anyone installed a 3.2 bumper on a stock 225 and had no problems with the fit? Does the underside bow a bit or is it totally flush with the bottom of the car? Did you have to cut away pieces to make it fit?

Many thanks

Diz

Did you do any special trimming or cutting to make the bumper fit?

Default My 225 has stock SMIC's and my S-Line (3.2, most seem to call it) bumper fits fine.

No modifications were needed and it fits very well. The only issue I can think of is the side brackets may not have been replaced. This would created a fitment issue where the bumper skin meets the fender. If the bumper sticks out at that point then you know the issue.

Default got the email...thnx...one last question...

There are two tabs with screws that connect the underside of the 3.2 bumper to the body. In the area between of the underside between those to attachment tabs...where does the bumper sit? Is there a holding tab that holds the middle part of the underside to the body?

cheers
