Default Problem with car: Coming to work today...

I could feel some flat spots when accelerating..
As I was driving later on...all of a sudden the power would just suddenly drop and the engine would sputter followed by a flashing check engine light. I kept accelerating but the engine just kept on doing this. Anyone know?!

coil-pack will almost always throw a CEL. Did you get one?

Default ditto

has happened to me once, I reset the ECU and car returned to normal. It really isn't drivable unless you do that. Car going in next week for service, don't know if they can identify that problem w/out a code though.

Default Sean, I've been running the MAF unplugged for about a week now..

only because i suspected my MAF being bad.

Just called dealer, and described the problem. He said it sounds like the coilpacks.
