Default Problem with ECU switching chipped setting...any ideas please?...

Car was running rough last night in the mid rang RPM's. Fine in the upper RPM's though. Well I thought it could have been some bad gas. I went to fill up today with a fresh tank. Well I wanted to verify that my car was in 93oct mode. So with my ignition on and cruise control switched to on setting, I held the set button down and there was no flashing of the check engine light? The light on the dash does work. It lights up with the ignition on. I tried to re-set the ECU today. Disconnected the battery, disconnected the ECU. Re-connected everything and clicked the ignition on for 15 min. Still no flashing of the check engine light. And now the cars drives like its in Valet mode!
I have 3 setting on my APR chipped ECU.
