Default Problems with Forge DVR . . .

normal peak boost is 22psi, kind of holds around 14-15 psi. So, about every month, boost drops off to 14 psi (both peak and steady). I take apart the valve, clean it, spray the diaphragm with silicone spray, put it back in, and peak boost is back to normal. This has happened about 4 times now. I am using the green spring with 2 washers. Any ideas?

Why R U using washers with the DVR and not just change springs?

Default Yank the washers>>>>

and reset the ecu. That way whatever the ECU has "learned" will be cleared and you start fresh.

There is no maintenance required with the DVR...silicone may be causing friction after its drivin for a bit as it attracts dirt and crap. I would clean it out, use the extra diaphragm that you got with the DVr and go from there.

Default That's what I have done several times . . .

I only tried the silicone spray after losing boost several times, cleaning the valve, replacing the diaphragm, and then it happens again in 2-4 weeks. For some reason, the DVR with either a new or cleaned diaphragm, only keeps up boost for short periods of time before acting up again. All the diaphragms look to be in good shape, no holes or nicks. It has been doing this since I installed a boost gauge last summer. It was probably acting up for a long time but I never noticed it without the boost gauge. I think I'll give Forge a call, because something is not right.
