Problems with H&R coilovers?
I'm planning to upgrade the suspension on my recently acquired 225TTQC, and I'm trying to decide between coilovers and new springs/shocks. I'd like to lower the car by about 1.5 in. From reading through old posts, I noticed some people a while back had complained about creaking and other issues with H&R coilovers. I just wonder if H&R has fixed these issues. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has this type of setup.

Judging from the number of replies to this thread, it seems H&R coilovers are not as popular as Bilstein PSS9s. I'm looking at the H&R's in particular because I can probably get them for a good price. I'll probably end up getting them.

not as popular, no, but they've both had some issues...
lightweight had the bilstein units, and the spring went retarded. my h&r's did the same.
the new h&r's, though, are a different design.
if you want FULL adjustability, go with KW.
