Prolong tire life? Front or Back?

Depends--- With me it is a toss up.
Very little difference in wear rate front to rear for me. I'm beginning to think I actually wear rears faster. At least that is where the slick ones always end up when it is time to buy new. Of course I like you tend to put the better ones on front as they near the end of their life.

Ya, when i got the car i remember they all seemed OK... now the fronts are fine, not the rears
maybe ill swap em

on the same axle, yes! and what happens when you put on the donut spare
albeit even though it advices not exceed 55mph..and that is more a function of the tire and not the haldex...but if it were truly harmful they wouldn't even allow that....there are some that ride different height to width ratios without problems....tread depth is really small potatos compared to that.....
