Default Depends on what was in the note. Sorry, hit your car, sayonara!

I'd be annoyed too as it's such a hassle to schedule and get estimates and deal with the insurance company, etc. Sure you may get all your $$$ back in the end, including your deductible, but it just sucks and you always know it's not "perfect" anymore. and you better hope they do an awesome job matching the paint, otherwise you'll take a bath on the trade-in down the road.... not that anyone here plans to ever trade their TT in!!

Default the note:

i hardly think my anger is misplace. i woke up in the morning (first thing!) to this. what kind of way is that to start a day? second, my parking lot has plenty of space and there's only 3 tenants that live there and 20 open spots. it makes no sense how someone could have hit anything in the parking lot, let alone me.
as far as the damage goes, it sucks that i have to schedule an appointment and not have my car for a while. as far as deductible or trade in goes, i don't have a deductible since someone else hit me and will be paying for it, and this is a company car, so i only have it for a year anyway.

Default Ha lucky you!

I got hit by a guy, who said he didnt have insurance, when the police showed up he gave them insurance, and then when I tried to run a claim on it, he didnt have any so he got away with not even a ticket and I had to have my whole back end did. You should be thanking your lucky stars you got a note.

Default she actually just returned my phone call. here's the story she gave me....

first, i live above a store in the 'downtown' area. there's apartments above most of the shops. a starbucks is directly below me. she said that she went into starbucks, but accidentally left her car in neutral. it rolled across the street, through my parking lot, and into my car. i told her, 'well, i guess the plus side is you hit me. if you didn't, there's a 12 foot drop right after my spot.'
i got all her insurance info and stuff, so it's all good. now i just have to get it fixed.

Default I've heard of people getting a note that said...

I'm writing this note because there are witnesses standing around and they think I'm giving you my contact and insurance information, but boy, are they wrong. See ya!

Default I would've expected a lot more damage than that for

a roll across the street into you! Sounds sketchy. And, even if she hit you, I think you have to pay out the deductible.... I remember being hit in NY and my insurance company told me they'd fight to get my deductible back for me, even though it wasn't my fault. Maybe things have changed.
