Default PSS Install completed - Problem

Hey Guys,

First off, thanks to all for their shared experience's - keeps us all up to date. Furthermore, I will post the pic's of the ALMS, Lotus Elise, and my TT soon (like next week - my father has had my digital camera for 2 weeks with the pics on it).

I had the PSS kit installed w. neuspeed swaybars, the cambers is OEM. It was aligned and cornerweighted at Fred Baker, the rest was done at Vin Devers - both GREAT experiences. I love the new ride - very very tight. However, on turning up a driveway I can sometimes here a thunk (about 3x since yesterday) from the rear of the car.

Any ideas? Who should I contact?

Thanks in advance,
JoeTTal.

Hmmm. Sounds like my problem (though I have H&R Sport Springs & Bilstein Sport Shocks)

Default Same problem, same setup as John P.

If you solve it, let us know what you did. I am going to get the dealer to lube the rear sway bar bushings next service to see if that solves it.

Default Welcome to the problematic PSS9 rear spring issue ......

Based upon what I know, it has to do with fitment of the rear spring and the design of the upper perch. They have done about 3 different iterations on the MKIV chassis and have found it affects some but not others. Numerous MKIV VW guys have returned theirs.

Have you switched the control arms yet? Dying to know how it works.

Default Nope - don't need to yet as I only lowered 1" all around and register 2.1 negative on the back - I'm

also waiting to hear what happens with the recall as I haven't got a notice yet. As soon as I hear if i'm in the recall (should be 12/99 build) I'll make the decision to either swap the arms or get the Kmacs and drop the car another .25 inches.
