A public "Thanks" to Chris Ruckman and Diane Wilson
On Sunday I arrived at the Hampton Inn in Winchester, VA to register for Audi Club Nationals at Summit Point. My right rear tire had a bubble in the sidewall, thus causing me to fail the tech inspection. My plans for Monday and Tuesday on the track looked screwed! After several hours of wandering Virginia and various phone books, Chris (having 2 TTs) suggested borrowing a wheel from Diane's (his lovely wife) TT. I said thanks but I still wanted to find another alternative if I could.
Well, by the start of the BBQ, all the tire places within 20 mi. were closed and sheepisly I asked Chris if he would make the call to Diane.
Diane offered me not only one wheel, but her car!. . . for the track!. . . even after seeing me drive at previous events!
Chris & Diane, you saved my trip and gave up a hell of a lot of mileage on that tire.
