Default agreed...

And yes, you're very lucky that the "standards" guy was around. Maybe they were doing an undercover sting operation on the shop for selling bad gas : )

My buddy just recently started putting Diesel fuel in his (non-diesel) Volvo before he realized it and started over with unleaded. His was fine.

I agree though, change filter, flush it out, and stop frequenly for fuel after you get it back so that any contaminants are diluted. Then change the filter again.

Good luck!

Rich

Default towing points- actually there are slots on the bottom of the frame...

that have rubber grommet in them. this is where most tow-jockeys like to grab the car.
When I had mine flat-bedded, he refused to use the hooks, saying he'd tear that right out of the car.
if you look close under the car at each end you will see these points.

Sorry about he gas problem. that's gotta hurt.

tough to see them here.

Default Thanks for you guys' suggestions. Since I've never dealt with water in my gas before

in any of my vehicles, I don't know what to expect. It just felt like my car was about to explode.

This is what I get for wanting extra hp. Hmm, seems too much like an addict. lol

Default Man, I can't tell you how pissed I was when I stepped on the gas and my car

shuddered and died like that. 'm still trying to deal with the whole asphalt shingle drama. Apparently, windstorms should be covered and you were right, that it's not an act of god situation.

A few more phone calls on that.

Default Had the station not responded the way they did, I would have blown my top...

the good thing was that I've got my own "evidence" immediately that they could not deny coming out of their pump.

Thanks for words of encouragement!

Default Looks like that's causing some stress to your exhaust too...

I'll have too look at those possible tow area, if and ever I need a tow again (and the local tow duffus refuses to use the tow hooks).

Default Thanks man, I tried to cover all possible bases, and I even took pictures

of the gas with my camera phone just in case they deny it.

Default I'm glad that the gas so obviously contaminated that only an idiot would've denied

it. Plus, my car wouldnt' even run longer than a few seconds...guess being almsot empty and filling up with the **** gas allowed for that immediate response.
