Default Putting my car up for sale in the classifieds...

I'm asking 19,645. I know that's a sizeable chunk above KBB values, but the car is in great shape and has lots of goodies. If it sells, I'm going to buy a 993. If it doesn't sell, then I'll just keep driving the TT. I certainly have mixed emotions about possibly moving on.

PS. No, I'm not interested in parting-out any mods.

Default Not to be a broken record...

but I truly think if you put some DEFCONs on there, you will be MUCH more satisfied with the handling of your TT...

Default I honestly believe that to be true, too.

Handling is a factor in my decision, but there are other factors as well. Overall performance is a big factor, but practicality (993 has substantially more room in the cockpit and trunk than my TT) also enters the equation. I have to admit that the chances of me selling my beloved TT at or near my asking price are pretty low, so the whole point may be mute anyway. If someone does end up buying it, though, P-car here I come!

Default Remember...993 won't perform all that better...>

Than a modded TT. 273 hp as I recall, and a little lighter..

Default Yeah, but look at this.

To me, there is no other car (within my financial reach) that combines performance and beauty like this. I'm hypnotized by them each time I see one on the road, and have wanted a 911 since I was too young to drive. Even with the most recent re-styling of the 911, I still prefer the 993 over all others. The great thing is that they are dropping into my price zone.

Default Porsche...there is no substitute

Having owned two(911sc and 928s4) I understand where you are coming from. I love my TT but it's not a Porsche(not that it tries to be). Good luck.
