Default Q re: Forge 180 FMIC hoses>>

Does the conversion kit needed for the 180hp FMIC use the 225 hoses [& therefore would the excellent colored Samco's be an option]?

Is this the kit that also includes the 225 manifold?

Default I just thought about this some more and the answer is No

The 225 has that pipe that comes out of the turbo and around the top of the engine to the left. The 180 has the "pancake" pipe in the passeger side wheel well. The hose routes are pretty different.

Also I believe the Samco you're talking about is for a 225 with the stock ICs in the fenders. I don't even think that would work on a 225 with an FMIC.

Default Well, there's the upper and lower hoses.

It may be that the upper hoses are different but the lower hoses are the same.

Default I really don't think any of them will fit...

Besides the hose routing of an FMIC equipped car being very different, the FMIC Samco has a bung on it for the MAP sensor from the stock IC.

Best way to find out is to call ttstuff or forge.

Default What MAP sensor?

There are 4 hoses(for the 225 install). From the turbo outlet pipe down to the intake of the FMIC is two pieces connected with a piece of supplied metal collar. From the FMIC to the intake manifold are two more pieces that are connected with a piece of plastic pipe that is from the stock IC install. This must be different since the 180 doesn't have an IC on that side. The lower hoses, into and out of the FMIC are what I'm thinking may be reused.

Default I don't have my pictures from my install on me but...

There was a sensor mounted on the IC that I had to relocate to the hose upper hose leading to my manifold.

There are three pieces of samco in the 180 kit. One that leads from the "pancake" pipe to the IC. One that leads from the intercooler to a coupler. One that leads from the coupler to the manifold.

So we have one from the pancake pipe coming off the turbo to the IC and two going from the IC to the manifold.

The 225 has very different pipe routing from the 180. Replacing the 180 manifold with the 225 manifold is really just to make a cleaner path for the air. Things are still pretty different.
