Well, printers ahve minimum runs, and I have extras! So, for those who'd like to vicariously join us, write me an e-mail.
US$ 2.50 for a pair, plus SHI (a stamp you think!). Larger orders gratefully accepted!

Met George (Old SeTTer) in Landrum SC (I-26/MM 1). Enjoyed a pleasant and uneventful drive to Alcoa via Knoxville. Would've loved the shortcuts, but needed to get setup.
Got there and Vince Scorsone (Like Corleone!) is in, and says "Hey, who's this wise guy wit da Lousiana plates and don't pay me no respects in my hometown"? A: Mike Huff! Mike drove in on trust that someone was there to make it so. What a great gift!
We set up cones in the anteroom/breakfast area (did you notice the Event Sticker on the front desk behind KrusTTy in his pic?) to guide folks through waivers/medical, maps, pic up your shirts, etc. Kerstin had us all signed in and rarin' to go by 1830 or so.
We took a dinner break and got back together for the "Slow Ride", an inaugural night pass for many, which really focuses your attention. And by way, we got to get out and start meeting one another while we assembled just N of Tabcat Bridge at the pulloff between MM 13 and MM 12. Beautiful!
About 2100 we start the run, slow enough that novices could stay focused on looking for the line, and quick enough in places to allow us to read tires, sways, and fourtitude! Some of the group got there faster (yep, I took a wrong turn in Alcoa; they rode down on the Foothills Parkway as-planned!), so they rode all the way down to Fugitive Bridge. The whole group met at the Dragon's Den @ Deals Gap and watched a few Minis go by. After some more introductions, we closed up on Alcoa after running back north and all across the Foothills Parkway. Even in the cloudy mist, the vistas of Alcoa and Knoxville were spectacular!
Got everyone tucked in, and I hit the sack at 0130! Sheesh! Herding cats!

What a day-
...dark, threatening, and ravens (or crows) abounding (grounded, not flying, in that soup)!
We got up fairly early, and marshaled out of the parking lot and headed to MM13 on US-129. Got together for a few quick pics by the lake (no stuffed animals were injured in the filming of this event!), and some refresher: Rule #1- if you cross the Yellow Line, you've made and error in judgment or performance. Rule #2: See Rule #1!
We headed out as a large group, and entered the Dragon via Tabcat Bridge, abandoned that day to the weather. Some Minis were out, and a few intrepid motorcyclists too! After a learning drive (leaves do decrease your circle of friction) but no missteps, we once again assembled at the Dragon's Den. From here we did a few recons for the group pic, and broke down into small sorties for those who wanted to go it alone. Some did the Cherohala Skyway, some continued down around Robbinsville and others down NC-28. No matter, the rains ruled. Around lunchtime, we all managed to make it to Papa's Pizza in Robbinsville, and between 1230 and 1400 we had them making MORE PIZZA! I think we put a serious dent in the buffet budget that day! We got some fun pics, and were joined by two more intrepids as we set out again in smaller groups. I took a big group over the Cherohala Skyway. By the time we hit Obadiah, we had some serious cloud and lowered visibility. We adjusted as we climbed, stopped several times for pics and to relax our shoulder and neck muscles, and "kept on doing the quattro"! All arrived safely, and setup for dinner.
Texas Roadhouse: peanut shells on the floor, margaritas (OK, I did have one!), and friends. The perfect end to the perfect quattro day! We got a lte start, but TR had us ALL seated in one area on close tables, and we sat down to mingle and feed. I sat across from Dan Hughes and his son Nick, who I discovered lived near a friend of mine in the same hometown in Indiana! Nick, 13, is en enthusiast already, and excited about the trip and the future. John Bowers and Terry sat next to us, and Terry had us all just rolling as she provided running commentary on the rain, the Dragon, and dinner! Marty (MarTT) kept us in fine form. Dinners were all hot, on-time, and the service was 1st rate. We broke up for the night, and successfully negotiated the treacherous walk (or ride) back to the Jameson Inn.
I had gotten up at 0545. I got to sleep at 0100 that night. LONG DAY!
