Default that's the Samco hose you see with the dimple (passenger side)...

and the plastic piece John is talking about is the MAP sensor housing on the driver side. It's the same one that your piping attaches to.

The dimpled sides will remain pancaked for those that haven't removed the aliens, however, for those that have, the hose has enough room to expand. If you haven't already seen how much the hose expands, you should rev your car and take a look at the turbo upper hose (passenger side). Now imagine sending 24+psi through that! You'll crisper throttle response once you install your fmic.
