Default Question about Servicing a Forge DV...

What type of lubricant can be used in the DV. It was sticking and I have it apart. The rings appear to be OK. I think it just needs to be cleaned and lubed.

I did a search and found that people were recommending synthetic superlube. I have not had much success at finding that stuff. So, what else can I use?????

BTW, this thing only has about 8k miles on it and it's the newer all aluminum one.
Is this normal maintenance?

TIA for the help and info.

IMO, vacuum grease. Long term solution would be to go with 007P valve.

Default Do a search, you'll find the answer...

something to do with the piston design modeled after the stock valve. All I know is it works good!

Default lol, I'm glad it "feels good" ..... but I'm looking for something I can buy locally...

I want to have the forge back in place for the drive to TT-East.

I believe it's a diaphram valve, have to ask our resident valvemeister Larry.
