Default Question for Boost Machine Owners

I just installed my boost machine today, but I'm up to 5 turns and only holding around 15psi. Is this correct? I wonder if my boost gauge is reading wrong since even though I'm chipped, I'm only holding 14psi normally. Any help would be appreciated.

Default Let's see

The original hose that goes into the bottom of the N75 now goes into the relief valve of the boost machine, which connects to the regulator. From the regulator the hose goes back into the bottom of the N75. Then the one way valve only allows air from regulator back to the other side of the relief valve. I used teflon tape on all the connections, so a leak would seem unlikely. Though, having a leak in the boost machine would only make me over boost more, correct?

One reason may be my boost gauge reading incorrectly. I'm chipped and I'm only making 13 to 14psi...Seems pretty low.

Default Are you following the tuning instructions?

The valves turn in opposite directions...

Default Yeah, I believe so

The other thing is that I'd spike up to 19psi in first gear for an instant. All other gears seems to hold at around 15psi. I'll play with it some more tomorrow.

Default Start here..>>

Ignore the relief valve until you get pressure set right. (turn it fully counterclockwise).

Start at OEM with the regulator (fully clockwise). Start 3 turns out and adjust counterclockwise to increase boost. 1/2 turn, drive, 1/2 turn, drive etc etc. This assuming your boost gauge is working. You should be able to feel (and see) the difference.

Then go back to the relief valve. I only have mine cracked 3/4 turn...

Default

I had issues too with holding boost... I'm thinking my valve is bad.

Default Interesting

I cranked my relief valve already more than one turn. Maybe it's my relief valve that's capping my boost. Will go try it out later, thanks for the advice. You've been a lot of help like always.

Default I ordered valves for 2 other guys too

If it comes down to it, I'll ask one of them to borrow their valve and see if it makes a difference.
