Ordered a TT Coupe on July 5 - dealer outside Boston says the production date still hasn't been established. The car that has my "name" on it had been unclaimed in the dealer's allocation.

Is the fact that no production date has yet been established normal from your experience? Thanks.

My understanding is that it works like this:

1) Dealer gets allocations once/month
2) Dealer places orders once/month
3) Audi lets dealer know build dates when the next month's allocations are issued

So this means either your dealer hasn't actually placed the order yet or it hasn't been an Audi "month" yet - give it another week or two.
