Default Question for those with coilovers...

I need to know exactly how you lock in the height of the rear spring perches. On the front there are just two rings that you tighten against each other but how does the rear work. If anyone had a picture I would really appreciate it.

I have a H&R kit by the way.

Thanks for the help.

Default Pretty simple, like TTagz said the perch is threaded >>>

so just twist it and it will adjust the height. Unfortunately, everytime you want to adjust it, you have to take apart the rear suspension...

Default why would you have to take apart the rear suspension?

The wheel has to come off, but that's it.

Default I know a lot of coilover systems....

work that way but H&R is telling me that their kit doesn't lock the height in. Its just a perch on a threaded body. They say that the weight of the car, combined with the spring stop on the lower perch prevents the spring from turning thereby locking in the height. It makes sense, because I'm looking at a h&r kit and the rear only has the spring, threaded body, and adjusmtment perch. Maybe someone who has installed the H&Rs can confirm.

Thanks again!
