Default Question for those with a stratmosphere headliner in thier roadster...

How easy was it to install? Does it (as they say it does) result in the car being better insulated? Road noise reduced? Overall impressions of the product?
This might be my first mod.
Any other ideas for easy mods for a 3.2 roadster?

-TIA

Default I've had mine in for almost two years...>

I could tell the difference in noise levels, and the ability to retain heat in the winter was also very noticeable. And the aesthetics of not having to look at the roof bars is also a plus. It is a bitch to install, but well worth the scraped knuckles. It was my daily driver in Wisconsin year-round. Next mod? Arm rest. Too bad it's a 3.2...'Auto Aesthetics' (a Raffi custom made) shift **** would be my next mod. See my sig. You can NOT go wrong with one of his creations!

Default Yeah, I agree with you about how attractive Raffi ***** are...

but I'm pretty sure he said that he's not going to make anything for the 3.2.
Thanks for the review on the headliner You're right about the bars inside. For a car that nice they really stick out.

Default Abt 3 1/2 years, March 2001, better *noise* reduction, yes.

not necessarily temp reduction, at least I could not tell

See these pics.

You may have some difficulty lining up the screw holes on the new strut bar covers, sewn into the fabric, with the existing holes on the frame.
I had to "create" and open up holes on all new covers.

In order to get the front cover into this position, it's necessary to remove the plastic cover over the top handle/push button. BE CAREFUL! It's held in place by small pastic tabs that can easily break!
I know, I broke them! the part is about $7.00 to replace.
You canot get the top handle off. If you could, this part of the install would be a breeze.

Stick the screws into and through the fabric first, like I tried to show here. The instruction sheet shows this also. It's *much* easier then to get these screws into the holes on the frame.
Also, when you get the frame loose, you will see some fabric covering these holes in front of the frame on the car. You may find you will need to cut away the fabric that covers the holes, in order to assist you in getting the screws into the holes.
