Default Questions About Chipping

I have a 180ttq and have a few questions about chipping. It seems to me that my Audi is not terrible fast off the line, but when I get started, and out of 2nd gear I am flying. If I chip my TT would that improve this? I also seem to have to shift from 1st to 2nd quckly, but can then hold 3rd for a longer period of time before needing to shift. Again, would a chip fix this. If I want to get a chip, is this something I can do myself or do I need to send my ECU away for the repair. If so I asume the car can't be driven.

Anybody in Long Island have a chipped car I could drive with you in to see the difference?

Default I have TTQ and it is chipped. I also live on Long Island!

David:

E-mail me if you want to compare our cars.

The chip won't make the car stay in a gear for a longer period of time. Only a gear change could change that. The chip will allow you to get to each gear faster.

You will be without your car for about 2 days or so, depending upon which chip you go with. I drove down to AAWE in Philadelphia and had them install the chip while I waited. 2 1/2 hours from Long Island to AWE.
