Default Questions about Dahlback Manifold Install. I've been looking >>

over the manifold (yea it has some nicks - no biggie), the car, and JBipes powergasket install instructions. Any information on the following would be appreciated.

1. Silicone gasket sealant - Which brand should I buy? Preferrably one I can get at Autozone or similar parts place.

1.5 I'm installing the Evo HS gasket. It came with two OEM gaskets. Should I use these and apply sealant on both sides with the EVO gasket in between? or just use the EVO gasket w/ sealant?

2. Does the oil dipstick need to be modified. If so, what needs to be done.

3. Do you use lock-tite on bolts and nuts?

4. Use 22lbs of torque when tightening bolts?

Default No sealant needed at all. You use the OEM gaskets on either side of the heatshield

The oil dipstick gets disconnected (little tab holding it to the shield forward and under the stock manifold) and since it curves forward... turn it around completely so it curves back behind.

Default here's a few answers...

1) EVOshield manifold gasket...don't know if I saw any sealant used at all when i got mine installed. I believe you just use the EVOshield.

2) flip the dipstick backwards

3) don't know if locktite was used. I don't think so.

4) can't tell you about that...seemed to be just hand tightened...warm up engine to 12 o'clock position (operating temp) then tighten again.

Default The runner of the Manifold has nicks on it. Are you sure? TJM >>

Motorsports told me that the sealant would make an airtight seal.

Default Thanks guys. JBipes used 'Red' RTV gasket silicone on his powergasket install. I should be able

to use that just on the manifold. I hope. I'll call TJM motorsport tomorrow. They told me they would do whatever needed to be done to make it right. Great customer service.
