Questions about service and recall

I took my '00 TTQ in for 40k service (my last free service visit) and for the control arm recall.
First, I noticed this morning that the "Service!" indicator still displays when I start it up. Is it possible they just forgot to clear the codes? I don't want to drive another 5k with old oil.
Second, the service rep said the recall was an "inspection only" and that they replaced no parts. I received a letter from AoA letting me know that my car qualified for the recall. Should I call AoA to get more info, or does this sound normal?
Thanks!

AoA and give them your vin and make sure that you fall within the recall range...check your service receipt and see what they said they did, then bring it back to have them reset the "service" code.
sounds like they were sloppy with the regular service...i'm not sure what they did with the recall!
