Questions about spacers...
I've seen so many posts about spacers that my interest has been piqued.
Aside from appearance though, is there any advantage or disadvantage to putting spacers on a car?
I like the aggressive look I've seen on some TTs with 15mm front and 25mm rear spacers, but will these spacers work with the stock 5 spoke rims? I don't want to have any rubbing problems (no our car isn't lowered). Also, does anyone have any pics of their Audi 5 spokes with spacers?
Thanks.

Some answers
If your car is not lowered, and you stick with 17" wheels and tire size you don't need to be concerned about rubbing. Some have lowered their cars by about 1" and still do not experience any problems w/ the 17" wheels. If you go up to 18", you will have to pay close attention to the tire width and diameter.
FWIW...since the spacers push the tires out, you end up with a wider stance. With a wider stance, cornering ability should be improved.
I have 10mm up front and 15mm in the back.
I think TTschwing has some photos w/ the 5 spoke/spacer combo.<ul><li><a href="http://public.fotki.com/ttschwing/">TTschwing's Fotki</a></li></ul>

Tire diameter makes no difference as long as you do a proper plus conversion or close to it. Tire
width, wheel width, wheel offset, spacers, amount of lowering do make a difference. You will have no trouble w/ 15F and 25R w/ OEM 7 1/2" 32ET wheels.
