Default VAG have a small stake in Porsche as I understand it,

Something like 5%...They used to be closer in thier relationship with each other...924 914 RS2 audi's are proof of this...

Default According to the VW June 2002 interim financial report...

which is available at:

http://www.volkswagen-ir.de/download/Q2_02/20020730_ZB_Q2_e.pdf

quoting:
Since Jan 2002, the Group has been structured in the following lines:

-Volkswagen brand group with the Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Skoda, Bentley, and Bugatti product lines

-The Audi brand group with the Audi, SEAT and Lamborghini product lines

-Commercial Vehicles

-Financial Services and Europcar

-Remaining companies (financing and other companies)

-----------
While I suppose they might secretly own Porsche, I rather doubt that if they list Lamborghini and Bugatti, they would lump Porsche into 'remaining companies'.

Default I think the only link between VAG and Porsche is the former Audi CEO...

Ferdinand Piech's family. They are major Porsche shareholders. This historically facilitated lots of "cooperation" between the companies.

BTW, Ferdinand Piech is also the guy that first saw Thomas' drawings of the TT and ultimately lobbied the board to approve it for production.

Default But, Porsche also lists Lamborghini.......

of Great Britan as 100% ownership.....

I think VAG is trying to hide their ownership of Porsche....

Further, Click and Clack refer to Audi owning Porsche in their review of the TT........

Can anyone resolve this issue for SURE????
