Hi everyone,
I'm after a TTC 225 Quattro LHD (1999 or 2000 reg - to fit the budget) and was hoping to get some advice on what problems to look out for.
I remember the earlier TT's being recalled after stability problems at speed and corroded ball joints in the rear axle, so if I were to buy one without the recall modifications would Audi still do the work for free? Or does it end with the warranty?
Also, some motoring websites say the TT has fuel system and air-con failures... so any other problems that you've experienced or have heard about would be very helpful
Thank you,
Mark (from UK)

Spoiler was installed and suspention modified to help with highspeed control issues.
Never heard of air-con failures.
Some people had fuelsystem problems largely due to a fuel pump/sender.
MAF, Coils, Hoses and Cluster are known problems.
Audi should honour all recalls even after the warranty.
