Default Larry, looks like it's something on your end...

[root@linux/home/aaron]# nslookup larrytt.dnsalias.org
Server: ns.mia.bellsouth.net
Address: 205.152.144.252

Name: larrytt.dnsalias.org
Address: 24.44.137.235

[root@linux/home/aaron]# !tel
telnet larrytt.dnsalias.org 80
Trying 24.44.137.235...

Do you allow incoming port 80 traffic to "any"?

Default I telnetted to port 80...if you have a web server running..

and your firewall is allowing connections from anywhere to port 80, then anyone can telnet to port 80. You can telnet to any port really to see if that port is listening.

Default telnet to port 80 will attach you to the web service rather than the default telnet service

go ahead and try it on another server.

I also tried the telnet method...it seems to ignore the request.

Default I just wish some people weren't so **** about things, know how to have fun,

and not take things so personally. If you can't have fun, you should not own TT's!!

Lighten up! : )
