R32 article on Vortex seems to indicate a 3.2l VR6 for the TT.

Here is a quote;
"Expect to see the 3.2l VR6 utilized in the Touareg, Phaeton (Europe only), Microbus, next generation Passat and next generation Golf and Jetta. The 3.2l VR6 will also likely see duty in the Audi TT and next generation Audi A3."
But then again most of us knew this already.

Honestly though I think that 32K is a bit steep for that car. You could add 2K and get the 350Z track model. There is too much HP competition out there these days. VW would be smart if they market this car properly. Also a limited production run would make sense.

The new Z may be a great buy - but it doesn't do anything for me. I also don't think the Golf is overpriced - $32k is a number they don't want to exceed - it most likely will be sold for abut $30k. Add another $15k and your looking at 500hp at the wheels...........

I agree with you to a certain extent. Like I said VW will have to hit a specific market if they want to sell these cars. Now if the price is closer to 29-30K this is one car I would honestly consider buying. Car to explain what you mean by another 15K and you are making 500HP to the wheels?

and the fact that the body kit on the car would have to be made specifically for the US market and then EPA certification (no 3.2l VR6 in any US car right now). IF it comes - look for 1,000 of em - 2 for every dealer (although some might get none - some might get more than 2).
HPA twin turbo systems is rumoured to be working on a 3.2l Twin Turbo kit similar to the one offered for the 2.8L 24V VR6. Looking at the fact that you would only need the turbo system itself - no engine, tranny, drivetrain etc. which is included in the very high priced current conversion - you'd be spending approximately $15k for just the turbo system, intercoolers etc. With the current system putting out 450hp on pump gas in a mild state of tune - look for over 500hp with the larger 3.2l engine.
