Default Radio not playing homemade CDs

Has anyone tried playing converted MP3s (wav files) in their TT? I'm able to create CDs using RealJukebox and play them in my home system, but not in my TT. What's the deal?

Also, I just got a 2000 A6 loaner for the week while my lemonTT's in the shop - does anyone know where the CD changer is?

I'm sure it's because of the non-current technology in the Crap-a-sonic changer.

Default Mine works with cheap-e CDs, Tho they don't last as long as good CD. This CD does work on my home..

system, so that could be your problem. Get a higher quality CD.

This is what i do. I buy a 800mb re-writeable CD and burn and reburn on it, so I'm constantly reburning the CD.

A6 changer should be trunk mounted, if I recall correctly.

I don't think you can play Rewritable cd's in the player... only recordable

Default Doesn't it have something to do with the color of the laser vs. color of the media? Or...

is the color of the media invisible to the laser that reads the pits and grooves.

All I know is that I have converted MP3's to .WAV and burned them onto CDW's and played them in my TT. AND I think the non-Bose has the same changer as the Bose, the Panasonic model.

LemonTT may want to look on the web for the model of the Panasonic CD changer, which I am sure someone here can inform him of and see if anything about playing burned CD's pops up.

I know that my older DVD player does not play any writable CD's at all. I was told that it was due to a difference in the color of the laser. Does this mean that CDW drives have multiple lasers?

Default Something strange I noticed...

I have a homemade MP3 to WAV CD that normally plays in my changer. I did notice once that when I tried to play it with the car shut off I got an "ERR" and no playing. Started the car and it played. I believe I was able to repeat this -- if I think of it I'll check again this evening.
