Default Radio Removal Problem

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/26243/radio.jpg"></center><p>
Now I'm really angry. Trying to put a BlitzSafe adapter on the back on the head unit so I can add XM Radio. I bought (what I was told) were the little radio removal tools. I put 2 into place and they went in and clicked. The radio will NOT come out. Nor will the tools. I really hate to think I have to take it to the dealer to have the entire dash removed to get them out.

Any ideas?

Yes, I put them in with the notches facing inward.

(FOLLOWUP): Pull hard, wiggle, twist, shout and it will come out.

Default wiggle them around

if you pull left and out on the left side, and out and right on the right side, that should help. the keys grab little tabs right inside the radio. wiggling normally works for me.

Default IIRC, push the rings toward each other and pull. Many have reported that the radio does not come

out easily, so you may have to persuade it some...

Good Luck!

Default I had the same problem removing mine the first time......

I used the plastic trim tool and wedged it into both sides of the radio face and moved the unit forward. It only moves a little at a time, which means you will need to repeat the steps on both side multiple times until the unit is out far enough to grab it with your hands. I got frustrated the first time I tried this and took it to Best Buy and they couldn't get it out.... I was not about to give up, which is when I came up with using the plastic trim tool. The unit is in their tight, so good luck.

if this is your first time pulling the radio out, you will have to force it out. apply some force
