Default Real World Advantage of 3" Down Pipe?

I've finished the induction side; VTDA, ****, Forge TIP, DV etc and the remap and was wondering what, if any, the real world benefits of a 3" down pipe are on the 180?
Thanks

Default Re: Real World Advantage of 3" Down Pipe?

definitely noticed a difference with my 3" downpipe. I'am also running a test pipe (no cat). Once I get a cat back system is when I will feel some real gains I'm sure.

why would so many k03 1.8t's get a downpipe if there were no gains???

Default Moves the powerband a bit from >>>

the bottom end (torque) to a bit more on the high end (HP)...

Based on your mods, there may be a bit of a gain.....

On cars with more advanced state of tune (maximized airflow on stock turbos) the gain is minimal...
