As of yesterday I have officially removed the shelf from my car. Privacy be damned, I'm goin'

Not quite sure what you mean, but mine made noise everywhere.

Any sort of deflection would generate noise: bending, torsion, even just squeezing part of the frame in my fist.

Now I have blessed relief!
