Default recoding the key fob for windows up and down

I saw the tech article on Audiworld and was wondering if anyone has done it. The article is not specific about what model years the codes work on. Any insight would be appreciated.

Default I've done it on my '01 TT coupe, using my ProDiag. Works great...

no need to fear. if the coding is invalid, it's my understanding that the car won't accept it.

Default Did this last night...need a Vag/Com to do it.

Add +64 to Lock Controller.

Hold Key Fob unlock down for 3+ seconds, windows go down.

Hold Key Fob lock button down for 3+ seconds, windows go up.

Works great--especially since it's about to get real hot where I am.

Default I did it on a 2003 roadster, with auto door locks also, there are different codes......

for coupe and roadster. I never use the remote window thing, my key fab battery only lasts about three months as it is.

Nope, I haven't. At least it works when you use the windows normally, I've tested. But I'm not sure if its still active when you close the windows with the fob. Guess its time to go test!
