Default Why is this "Off Topic"? Change to a regular post and you'll get more answers.

This is very ON topic IMO.

I am in NJ where we obviously do not have the extremes of an Alaskan winter, but I use Bridgestone Blizzaks on 16" black steel rims as my winter beater wheels. They stick like glue in all nasty conditions and I love 'em!

BTW, Dick (aka: AKRascal) would be best to answer this one since he is a fellow Alaskan. Might want to ask for him here.

Default For deep snow and ice...MZ01 Blizzaks...but if you

want better dry road performance in winter and are willing to give up about 25% ish traction over the Mz01s get LM22 Blizzaks... has an H rating.. 210km/hr as opposed to MZ01 160Km/hr rating..or a Q. I would go with 205/50 in 17.
