I recently purchased a bottle of Water Wetter from ReDLine and discovered that it reacted with the coolant. It made the liquid solution murky brown and oily. I don't know if anyone else knows about this or not, but Redline Techs said that this is normal and isn't detrimental to any engine parts. Best setup is 20% coolant and 80% water and a bottle of Redline Water Wetter, that is what the Redline tech told me. If anyone else is experiencing this problem please reply.

Same here, brown stuff floating on top of coolant tank. Freaked me out, throught it was motor oil! Redline says don't worry about it. Steve

It is normal. The stuff you see floating around are all of the contaminants that were adhered to your readiator and possibly clogging different passages. The next time you drain the radiator all of that gunk will flow out so long as you drain and do a proper flushing.
