really like the pic. maybe better w/o lettering IMHO. or smaller, more subtle?

Would be way better without the lettering. the images say plenty already, and the numbers/letters...

kill the subtle effect.

I posted a "sans type" version earlier...

check it out. actually if you go to the contest site both images are posted in order. You can toggle back and forth to measure the effect with and without type. I do agree that it is much cleaner without the type. However as a designer I have a love of type forms and the additional elements are fun to play with. Thanks for you comments. Let me know your thoughts after seeing the earlier version. :-)
