and whether or not you would consider coming with
or without your TT depending on convention
location. There's lots that haven't let us know yet! Thanks again! :-)

The problem with the question...
Is that everyone would prefer to come with their TT, but it is going to depend on where it is held. The real question is: "If the meeting were held halfway across the country, or beyond, i.e. perhaps 12-24 hours of driving time, would you bring your TT?"
I already know the answer. For most, it is "no".

TT's lined up from all over the US...
would be a real kick. If we had the opporunity to do a grand tour someplace beautiful or rent a track for a day or weekend it would be fun because we all could participate in our beloved TT's. A big social event is one thing, bringing our TT's would turn it into a real TT "Festivus" for all to see and admire. JMHO and that may mean midwest.

My points should be obvious...
I think some have visions of a get-together with TTs as far as the eye can see, such as the German TTOC meetings. However, Germany is a much smaller country, and in my view, it's impractical to do that here due to the broad geographic expanse of the USA.
My original proposition months ago (I think that I was the one who proposed this), suggested that this meeting was more about people and less about cars, even though the TT is obviously the common denominator.
My "vision" is for folks here to meet, eat, drink, shake hands, share stories, be introduced to significant others, dance, debate the best wax, etc. I don't see this as being an outing where we are putting our heads under hoods, autocrossing and such. I feel that regional events are more practical venues to satisfy those needs.
In my opinion, the car/no car question is superflueous. As I wrote earlier, most owners who reside fairly close to the event will bring their TTs, and the great majority of those living far away will not. There will, of course, be a few hard-core exceptions. The real question should be, "Is there an interest in holding such an event, and if so, what is the best date and location to do so?"
