Default Remote key and trunk/gas cap buttons - WTF IS GOING ON???

Not sure if it's a coincidence, but ever since I picked up my TT from the dealer for the 5,000-mile scheduled maintenance, the remote key randomly loses programming i.e. it cannot be used to remotely open/close the doors or trunk.
The more annoying issue however is the trunk and gas cap buttons randomly stop working as well.

I've done a search and found a reliable way of re-programming the key, but the few posts related to the trunk/gas buttons didn't work for me. Sometimes the buttons will start working again, but also randomly..

Is there a known bug here or what's going on??

Thanks for your help
-Marc

Default signal interference?...

I had a problem with one of my other cars, if you parked on the right side of the garage the remote will not work, but if I moved it back to the left side, it works again. I tried it many times over the years and it still does the same thing. Weird...

Default Have you also noticed..

that when you open the driver side door, there's an audible "click", as though the car is trying to lock the doors again?

I noticed this yesterday: hit the "unlock" on remote twice, so both doors were unlocked, then opened the driver door before the passenger did - and that locked the passenger door..

Default Doubt it, as this also happened outside in a large open-air parking lot

and also this never happened before last week (for the first 5000 odd miles..)

Default I thought you changed the two buttons around? Hey my philosophy is>

that if you mess with the wiring of the car in some shape or form and run into problems, there is no one to blame but yourself.

Please do not take it the wrong way. Just that some mods make no sense and by changing the buttons around, it may have caused more harm than good.
