Default if you're willing to do a little work (or have it done), carsound (i.e. magnaflow) makes universal

high-flow cats that you could have welded in (or have bigger piping fabbed in). i'm looking to do this, as it is MUCH cheaper than bending over and paying $1200 for the milltek ones...ouch.

fyi, two universal carsound cats will be around $120.

Default nope, will still throw CEL. car will run ok, albeit rich

second O2 sensor monitors efficiency of cats, and triggers secondary air injection (the second tube that comes off your air filter box). first O2 sensor does all of the airfuel feedback (i cant confirm this, ive only been told this). that being said, i still felt like i ran a bit richer with the straightpipe, but i dont know whether that was a function of freer-breathing exhaust or the confused second O2 sensor.

anyway, you can run straight pipes, it will enhance low-end but harm top-end, ie make it torque-ier but slow to accelerate at high speeds. i ran that set up for a while (second O2 dangling in air), and i got CELs once a week or two. many people have looked into O2-blackboxes, which trick the sensor into reading normal levels. hopefully they'll chime in here.

Default Carbide does...

And theoretically they could be for sale... and they're basically brand new Milltek (VERY EXPENSIVE $1200) no CEL throwing race cats.
