Default Replaced black temp sensor with green sensor, ten minute job >>>

still getting overheat alarm. Next stop thermostat Was getting intermitant alarm when car started to warm then would go back to normal. Yesterday Just stayed on after car warmed. Changed sensor this morning before leaving for work. No change but engine dosn't seem too hot. Hope it's not my gauge cluster.

Default huh...I would VAG it>>>>

reason being i am having a problem with my temp gauge, but i am not getting an alarm. The temp gauge is all the way over on HOT now....but VAG says the car is running spot on 200 deg...which is perfect. I know my cluster is bad....but with the alarm going off, i would trust the VAG first....IMO

Someone last week had an overheating problem and it was the thermostat....

If thats the case, then thats a hell of a lot cheaper than a cluster!
