Default Replaced Coolant Temp Sensor today. What a Mess...

Coolant splashed everywhere in the engine. I imagine tuff to catch when expecting it.

Default You've gotta...

take the cap off the coolant reservoir first, to relieve pressure, then put it back on before removing the sensor. You shouldn't loose more than a few ounces of coolant if done right.

Default I did the same thing.. when the engine was warm...

sprayed me in the face.. haha (but I was ok)...

Just make sure you re-seat the new sensor correctly or else when the collant heats up it'll start spraing out everywhere again... and Audi collant ain't cheap!

Default *LOL*... it coulda been worse...>>>

the spraying collant didn't bother me... it was the feeling dumb part that I didn't realize that collant is under pressure, especially when hot! hahaha... (doesn't it say that on all radiators? "do not open when hot")
