Default Replacement Brake Pads

My brake light sensor has gone off. I've been able to source aftermarket brake pads with the sensor which are less expensive that the dealer.

Question: will the aftermarket pads turn the warning light off? Or do i have to get the oem pads in our to turn the warning light off?

Thanks

Default you can turn the warning off permanently

Cut the sensor off of the harness, wrap both wires together, wrap with electrical tape, plug back into harness, secure to shock tower. No more brake pad forever

Some of the aftermarket pads come with the sensor. Check at TireRack.com
