Default Replacing synchros- only replace for my 2-3 grind, or replace more?

I think they run ~$150/pc. I'm replacing 2nd and 3rd, any others? I hate to throw away $$ when there are other things I need to repair/replace.

All the synchros have been redesigned I hear.

Compared to cost of labor to do the replacement I think I'd get the lower 3 gears done

Default What exactly do you define as "syncro grind"?

Im pretty sure ive got syncro problems from 1st to 2nd gear, what does it feel like?

Default Feels the same as grinding a gear from a poor shift

only the car does it for you. I used to get a grind when I shifted from 2nd to 3rd gear above 4,000 rpm before I switched to redline MT90. If I doubled clutched it wouldn't grind. Which means it is most likely a synchro problem.

If you do a full, careful clutch when shifting and you still grind your syncros are likely at fault

Ya, the R&R cost is the killer. Get them all done.

Are you already using MT-90?

Default yeah, been using it for the last 40k miles

I'm replacing the clutch at this time, so it makes sense to fix the transmission the right way.
