Austin area TT owners and enthusiasts (as well as the TT-curious) are invited to come, hang out, and "talk TT".

The Oasis is a very cool restaurant out by Lake Travis. The view is simply outstanding, and the food is quite good. The menu isn't huge, but everyone should be able to find something they like. It's not too expensive, but you do pay something for the location (think "just a tad more than Chili's").

Parking at The Oasis is rather strewn about. There is no guarantee that we will be able to park together, or even see eachother from the various "parking areas", depending on how crowded it is. We should all converge on The Oasis at noon, so look for your fellow TT'ers as you drive in. Try to park close together. The chances of everyone meeting at the front door to the restaurant are slim since "the main attaction" is the group of cars in the parking lot. Plan on meeting in the parking lot, and we'll head into the restaurant when we're done "pointing and staring".

Last time I was in Austin, my girlfriend and I went to eat at the Oasis and I remember heading to 6th Street afterwards and taking some Hwy south past the lake. It was a great drive and I'm sure it will be incredible in a TT. Enjoy!

<b>WEATHER</b>
It came up a couple days ago that we should check the forum Sunday morning before heading out. Good idea. If it's raining, we should postpone or relocate this gathering. The Oasis is an outdoor restaurant, and we'd have some pretty soggy french fries. The best part of things like this is just standing next to the cars in the parking lot and "talking TT" which is harder to do in the rain. Especially for Roadster owners.

But I'm doing an anti-rain-dance right now as I type. I don't think it will rain because the TT gods smile upon us. Lets plan on going ahead with this unless it <i>really does rain</i>. If it's a little cloudy, I'm still for going.
