While doing my research, I did see that covers are available....not faceplates...kinda like what you
put a cellphone in...Can't remember where I saw them...Maybe on the Cobra site...

From everything I have read....it is.....The guy we are buying these from sells THOUSANDS of them...
I strongly suspect this is last years model...and that he got the rebate deal as incentive to buy a huge quantity...
They have every feature I have ever seen...except a radio (which seems kinda silly to me...why run down the batteries)...
And I love that the talk button isnt on the front..like the Motorolas...

I've been looking for a submersible rated (at least JIS-5 or 6, if not 7, FRS... but haven't found it yet.
Actually, I'd really like a FRS/GMRS/Marine VHS combo unit that was JIS-7. That would be cool.
