Is the best way to disconnect the battery and reset the clock etc. ? I dont want to pull the ecu.

I can't see the point...unless you are doing something really major to the car the ECU will adpt to the changes all by itself...IMO i thinmk the less the ecu is reset the less chance of something going wrong with it...a little like turnung your computer on and off at the plug..never healthy for it is it?....my 2 cents worth anway
