Review of my TT 18,000 miles later and upgrades
Hi gang I am really enjoing my time with my TT, I have done several changes to it. I bought it brand new on August 31 1999, Blue with Blue.
First I got an APR1 chip, then I got OZ F1 wheels and H&R Sport Springs, then I tinted the windows, then Borla exhaust, then upgrade of Chip by APR, then K&N air filter and Mintex pads. Finally yesterday I got Bridgestone Pole Position O2 tires.
I am really loving every minute of this car. I beleive the combo set-up I have is good. I have a couple nothces in my belt of all kinds of cars, Americans(Mustang and Camaro), I launched off a light with a vette(92 or 93)and I dont know if I beat him or he was not a good driver but I ended up ahead of him by the time I hit 5th gear. Japanese (Honda Civic SI, Mistsubishis Mirage, Acura Integras, Toyota Celica). Germans(VW, Boxster, Audis A4) Well I think you get the point.
I have also been whipped real good for example this Acuran Integra this sucker took of a like a rocket when he went by me his exhaust was about the size of a five gallon bucket of paint. This guy pulled me and pulled.
I love the handling my car has and the stopping power is awesome, the Mintex pads make a great differnece, Oh and what can I say about the K&N Air Filter that sucker just swallows air that I think I beat the car next to me because I suction all the air from him!!!!(lol)
The tires are awesome and they have great traction both dry and wet. My next project will be to get the brake upgrade probably from APR the disc and lines.
Here are the mods and where I Got them
APR chip version 1 and 2 (Apr)$500.00
OZ F1 cup Wheels (local here in Puerto Rico)$1,200.00
H&R Springs (local here in Puerto Rico)$180.00
Borla (that muffler shop in Arizona)$500.00
K&N Air filter (APR)$50.00
Mintex brake Pads (APR)$125.00
Bridgestone Pole Position O2's (tire rack)$800.00
Total $ upgrade $3,355.oo
Well that all folks JJ
