Default Sorry, can't take part in this revolution...APR is treating me right...

It's no stage III granted, but it's my ECU upgrade.

APR Auburn chipped me July 7, 2003. Dealer just told me my ECU is fried, and wants to sell me another one (~$1200). I called APR and they said send it to them. They said they'll check it out for me. They also said if it was their fault, they'll fix at no charge.

Default Good luck, I've been there done that...

They replaced my old EMCS hardware with new and sent it back. It lasted about 10 seconds in the car. It was running with sporadic dropouts prior to that so whatever APR did finished it off. Not saying its their fault but they only will do so much. Ended up having to pony up for a new ECU from the stealer. APR did rechip for free though. No problems since <knocks wood>

Default I might go with a GIAC flash over theirs, that make you feel better?

Just need something to push me over the edge to schedule the appointment. I fear warranty work rejections though.

Default Should sound familiar, and APR should listen to your experiences

And your story should stress the importance of having a local shop that you can count on to make things right. I remember a time when you were willing to sell off your poorly running car for less than Chris would right now. But fortunately you, as well as your shop stuck with it and worked out all the kinks. I just wish that Chris's issues could be solved as economically as yours were with the replacement of stock bolt-on bits.

But APR could learn from this. If you would have gotten the same response from your shop when you were having problems and just gave up imagine the different attitude towards Dahlback right now. But the fact that they stuck with it and worked with you and made you happy has gone a long ways for them when it comes to free publicity and good word of mouth.
